Welcome!

Since 1989, the Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation has dedicated itself to supporting excellence in education in South Lake Tahoe, California.

Through individual and family memberships, business support and community donations, LTEF has:

• Funded a grade of Class Size Reduction for 3 years.
• Sponsored after school Enrichment Classes for Elementary and Middle School students.
• Honored retiring teachers and staff through the ‘Celebration of Education.’
• Provided grants for National Board Certification for new teachers.
• Joined the Alumni Association in the 50-year Alumni Celebration, the dedication of the Wall of Honor and refurbishing Theater Seats.
• Hosted a Candidate’s Forum for School Board elections.
• Administered specialized funds, including:
  • Angora Fire (Student Victims)
  • Lori Brandstetter (Special Education)
  • Daphne Forte (Music in Our Schools)
  • Marissa Bassett (Memorial Scholarship)
  • Haase-Hug-Holmes family (Track Restoration)
